An actress for many years, Donna has appeared in countless plays, television movies, national commercials, print advertising and radio voice overs.
In New Orlenas she was the "go-to" voice-over performer for national products and worked as a writer and performer with "Dial-A-Joke", the first comedy show for your phone!
While living in New York CIty, Donna studied acting with Terry Schreiber at the Terry Schreiber Studio and served on the board of the Double Helix Theater Company. As a New Yorker, Donna produced and starred in The Pokey part of a double bill alongside Nick Searcy's Terrible Jim Fitch. Her original work, Waking Grandie, was perfomed at the Westbeth Theater at the invitation of Broadway director, Peter Askin. Donna was also seen at Theater for the New City, Westbeth Theater, and was a regular at the Duplex. She directed a series of adapted works by Award-winning Science Fiction writer, Terry Bisson. Terry's stories which she adapted and directed for the stage included Two Guys from the Future, They're Made out of Meat and Next which were presented at the Westbank Theater.
Donna wrote and starred in her one-woman show, Love is a Many Splintered Thing, which she performed as part of the "ONE" series. The "ONE" series was presented at the Jose Quintero Theater Off-Broadway.
As a comic, Donna shared with bill with Cathy Taylor and Renee Dodge, and hosted the Stars of Tomorrow at the Duplex on Friday nights. She has been a member of SAG since 1983.
In 2011, Donna and theatrial partner, Kym Herbst, founded CPR (Chehalem Players Rep), a theater company dedicated to cutting edge productions delivered in an intimate setting by professional actors . Their first season was met with rave reviews. Considered a great success they were welcomed by the community with incredible enthusiasm and support. The premier season (2011/12) was presented at the Chehalem Cultural Center's Black Box Theater.
